X-SOLAR offers the XSFM-560-T2 560W N-TOPCon lightweight module in frameless flexible and framed lightweight configurations. 1. Which configuration should be considered for a curved roof?
For a suitable curved roof, the frameless flexible configuration may be considered after project assessment. It measures 2260 × 1200 × 2.7 mm, weighs 8.4 kg, has an area weight of 3.1 kg/m² and a minimum bending radius of 0.5 m.
2. Which configuration is intended for a flat or low-slope roof?
For a suitable flat or low-slope roof, the framed lightweight configuration may be considered. It measures 2260 × 1245 × 25 mm, weighs 13.5 kg and has an area weight of 4.8 kg/m².
3. Can the frameless module be repeatedly bent?
No. It may conform to a suitable curved roof during installation, but it is not intended for repeated or cyclic bending because this may create a risk of solar-cell microcracks.
4. Does a lightweight module make every low-load roof suitable for solar?
No. Module weight is only one part of the complete system load. The roof structure, mounting or fixing components, wind, drainage, waterproofing, construction loads and local requirements still need project-specific review.
5. Can the framed configuration use conventional mounting formats?
For applicable projects, the framed lightweight configuration can use suitable conventional rails with single-clamp or double-clamp arrangements. The final layout depends on the roof and engineering design.
6. Can every project use a non-penetrating adhesive approach?
No. A non-penetrating adhesive approach may be considered only for applicable projects. Substrate compatibility, surface condition, wind, waterproofing and project engineering must be reviewed.
