Practical review checklist

· Identify the baseline. Record the drawing number, date, scale and responsible author before using it for a proposal.

· Map the differences. Mark added vents, altered roof areas and missing dimensions on a separate review copy. Keep the source drawing unchanged.

· Trace the evidence. Attach dated photographs and survey notes to each item so the engineer can identify how it was found.

· Close each item. Record the checked dimension, reviewer and resulting layout revision. Keep unresolved areas outside the approved layout.

When to request clarification

Pause the affected layout when there is no reliable basis for dimensions or the structural record conflicts with observed alterations. A visual check of roof cladding does not confirm the supporting structure.

Questions buyers ask

Can a satellite image settle a drawing conflict? It can identify a question, but checked site information is needed to resolve it.

What should be recorded when information is missing? Record the missing evidence, responsible reviewer and condition that must be resolved before the affected decision.
