What Information Is Needed Before Requesting a Quote for a Lightweight Roof Solar Project?

Lightweight modules reduce the module-related roof load, but project feasibility, module selection and fixing design still depend on the actual roof and engineering conditions. Preparing the following information before discussing an XSFM-560-T2 560W project with X-SOLAR can make technical communication more efficient.

1. Basic roof information

Provide the project location, roof type, usable area, slope or curvature, principal dimensions and site photographs. For a curved roof, include the approximate curvature or available radius. The frameless flexible module may conform to a suitable curved roof during installation with a minimum bending radius of 0.5 m, but it is not intended for repeated or cyclic bending.

2. Roof substrate and condition

Identify the roof substrate, surface coating, age, corrosion or deterioration, existing leaks, repairs and waterproofing condition. Substrate compatibility and surface condition influence the assessment of a suitable fixing approach.

3. Structural and environmental conditions

Where available, provide allowable structural loading or an existing structural assessment, together with local design wind, snow, temperature and other environmental conditions. Lightweight does not remove the need for structural review; the final solution requires project-specific structural, waterproofing and local-code assessment.

4. Installation constraints

State whether roof penetrations are permitted, whether rails can be used, and any access restrictions. Mark drains, skylights, parapets and equipment zones. A non-penetrating adhesive approach may be considered only for applicable projects. The framed lightweight module can be evaluated with conventional rails and single or double clamps according to project conditions.

5. Electrical and system objectives

Provide the target system capacity, available grid-connection information, inverter or design constraints and the expected project schedule. String configuration and detailed electrical design should be completed by qualified project designers for the specific system.

6. Commercial and delivery information

Include the estimated quantity, delivery location, requested delivery time and required technical documents. X-SOLAR does not use one fixed public price; quotation depends on quantity, destination, technical requirements and project conditions.

Initial direction for the two 560W modules

The frameless flexible XSFM-560-T2 is a 560W N-TOPCon module measuring 2260 × 1200 × 2.7 mm, weighing 8.4 kg, with a surface density of 3.1 kg/m². The framed lightweight XSFM-560-T2 is also a 560W N-TOPCon module, measuring 2260 × 1245 × 25 mm, weighing 13.5 kg, with a surface density of 4.8 kg/m². Final selection should follow project conditions and engineering review.
