· Retain correspondence. Keep written conditions, accepted details and required inspection evidence with the contract records.

When to request clarification

Leave the proposal conditional when the roof provider cannot identify the installed roof system or has not reviewed a changed fixing method. Do not promise continued warranty coverage without the relevant written terms.

Questions buyers ask

Does a module warranty cover a roof leak? Read the actual terms and responsibility agreements; do not assume coverage transfers between products.

What should be recorded when information is missing? Record the missing evidence, responsible reviewer and condition that must be resolved before the affected decision.
